I like the anime of that serie if the novel container more detail or the story are diffrent then i want reade the novel

FYI, so far JNC has never dropped a series with the exception of New Life + where the Japanese publisher stopped selling it and asked JNC to also remove the translated version.

@Bamgm14 said in After Pre-pub closes:

@Shiny I was thinking of buying the Prepub and was wondering if I would get the final draft as well. I understand the membership, while a neat perk, doesn't give u access to the final draft unless you preorder. Thanks for verifying tho

Just in case all of the above wasn't clear, I'll word it a little differently:

You can't buy the prepub at all.

What you buy directly from JNC is the Premium ebook (in DRM-free ePub format), which is the final version and often includes bonuses like textless illustrations or some of the bonus stories that the Japanese publisher provided to bookstores as a pre-order or first-day bonus.

In addition to the premium ebook, you also get the right to read the prepub version in a browser or app. That's just an extra feature, what you are buying is the ebook. If you buy a title directly from JNC before release that is a pre-publication-purchase of the ebook not the prepub.

@Dawnaxis said in Yuri Advice:

Seriously Seeking Sister! Ultimate Vampire Princess Just Wants Little Sister; Plenty of Service Will Be Provided!” as yuri, but I haven’t read them yet so I can’t comment any further.

It's a good story, but much more like Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear or FUNA's Abilities Average than Sexiled. You can probably find a yuri subtext if you look hard, but it's low key.

@doceirias English actually has a lot of words for 'ghost' too. Like specter, phantom, spirit, apparition. I'm actually a bit of a folklore nut myself, so there are a lot of 'ghosts' that are of a specific type. Most people know poltergeists, but there's also fetches, which is basically yourself. If you see yourself, you die. Wraith comes from the old Norse word Vordr, which means 'ward' or 'warden'. It's a bit like a guardian spirit, until you die, then it becomes undead and haunts a person or place. There's the ubiquitous 'Lady in White', the generic parts being she is a scorned woman who murdered her children and then killed herself.
So there is a wealth of words to use in an English translation that could properly approximate their Japanese counterparts.
Although I do understand that the last thing a translator would want to do is extensive research the paranormal on top of their normal work.
I still want a translation of this so damn bad.
I needed to reiterate.
I've been waiting for ten years.

I enjoy the manga. I'll be interested in reading the light novel.

@zenzen Well, this is novel, since it published in Kadokawa Bunko

Good mystery with supernatural

It has unfortunately not been licensed, so there is no official translation. Digging around a bit, it looks like there are fan translations for several of the volumes online, but I don't think that we're allowed to post links to that sort of thing here.

13 is too damn many (but I'd still give it a try).

yea, I'm torn
for physicals - I've restricted my purchases to what I'm going to have as part of my 'permanent' collection, and there's only so much space (and $$) I have one collection of books in my living room, most leather bound (or have the look of leather bound) a lot of classic sci fi/fantasy, some limited editions, signed by author etc. A second collection is in my office (and is about to get purged) hardcover book club editions, mass market paperbacks etc. I have about 2x what I want to keep. (and that will give me space to add more LN physicals of which I only have a few)

That being said - I like the cover art to invoke the 'spirit' of the story dark/somber or light/humorous - I especially like when a series has cover art that themselves have a theme over the series of volumes (introductions of characters, or featured character on each volume doing something that relates to previous/next-- like the art has its own arc)- Shomin Sample, does this well as does Rokojouma. I'm not such a purist that cover art...needs to be on the cover, I'd buy leather(ette) bound Bookworm editions that had minimalist cover/spine art (like just Rozemynes crest) as long as all the art was inside

Warning: for JNC books these are the "standard" editions not the "premium" versions with the content listed here: https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/305/premium-e-book-bonus-contents-list/

If you want the bonus stories you need to become a JNC member and buy the DRM-free epubs directly from JNC.

It's very easy to copy the books to a kindle with the free Calibre ebook app. Attach kindle to PC with USB cable, add book to Calibre library, click on "send to device" button, wait a minute, done.

For phones you can just install an app that reads epub files.
